so we were thinking…we’ve just ended our 1000 thank you challenge. what in the heck are we going to do for april?
sometime last month we were toying with a few ideas of things we could do for other challenges during the months. we thought maybe no drinks except water, or no music in the car, or something like that, i guess more of fasts or little things that we could challenge ourselves to do.
but, for april we decided to do something different. april’s challenge is going to be to take a picture of something that captures that day or is a favorite part of the day or just that we want to represent us. and then we also decided to take a picture of us together, hoping we might come out with some more recent pictures of us, and also because we’ve heard of other such challenges. most likely, the day after, i will post a photo of us, and something that captures our day! consider it more of a photo blog than text for awhile!
so, we present april 1 photos…enjoy!
rachel: this was the reward for walking the trash to the dumpster…the little pond that is part of our apartment community and the ducks! i had been wanting to feed them the butt ends of two loaves of bread that we had…and was kind of saving them just for the ducks. it was fun, the ducks wouldn’t come very close to me, but they did enjoy the treats i gave them!
matt: The reason for this is just the beauty of creation. Around our apartment are these wonderful trees that have started to bloom. It is this wonderful assortment of whites and reds. Since spring seems to have sprung early up here, the trees around us are blossoming and starting to create a wonderful atmosphere. So much so, that we can see why so many love the spring time with beauty like this. During strong winds, the wind will blow the white leaves off the trees and it almost looks like snow.
27 Consider how the wild flowers grow. They do not labor or spin. Yet I tell you, not even Solomon in all his splendor was dressed like one of these. 28If that is how God clothes the grass of the field, which is here today, and tomorrow is thrown into the fire, how much more will he clothe you—you of little faith! (Luke 12:27-28, NIV)
getting better at photography,
