day 2 of the challenge!
rachel: my photo is of the bread that i made today for dinner. we had been talking about having spaghetti for a couple days, and i really wanted to try a new recipe from peter reinhart, but those usually end up taking so long (2 days) because the dough proofs for so long. anyways, i found this wonderful recipe on pinterest, and credit where it is due, you can find the recipe here…this also counts as recipe number 11! try it out!
we put pepper jack, provolone and colby jack cheeses on ours, all were delicious and had a different taste, but were very yummy!
matt: my day is summed up by the story of the widow who gave all that she had, and all that she had was two coins. I was reminded today that all of me, all of us is for God. not some of it, not 99% of it, every single part of it. every single cent, every gift, every piece of food, every skill is all for our Lord. I cannot say it is for God and then try to hold on to it, I must let go of control. Control is just an illusion, we have no control. The widow gave it all and trusted God to provide, so must we…
2 He also saw a poor widow put in two very small copper coins. 3 “Truly I tell you,” he said, “this poor widow has put in more than all the others. 4 All these people gave their gifts out of their wealth; but she out of her poverty put in all she had to live on.” (Luke 21:2-4, NIV)
us: this is what we’re doing tonight…enjoying some college bball! go kentucky!
final results of the bracket competition will be revealed tomorrow…matt is probably going to win.
sad that college bball/march madness is over, (sad it is also kentucky and kansas… nobody to root for)
